So I’ve decided to add some music to my blog. Hopefully this will become a more regular thing that happens like once a week or something.
I felt it was appropriate to start off the music blogging with one of my favorite bands. It was also fitting that their music video for their newest album being released this summer debuted this week as well.
HANSON has been a huge part of my musical life. Their music was some of the first music I listened to and has continued to resonate with me for the past 12 years. This music video was inspired by The Blues Brothers and Ray Charles “Twist It (Shake Your Tail Feather)” in the movie The Blues Brothers. ENJOY and just for fun watch The Blues Brother’s clip too. It’s all great music and fun dancing.

It’s spring in Austin and you know what that means. Lots of sneezing.
But more than that, all the wildflowers bloom around this time and it is absolutely beautiful. I’ve been worrying about a lot of things this year and sometimes it gets to be too much. About a week ago I thought I was so upset that I went to sleep with out doing anything I needed to get done and still woke up frustrated in the morning. Driving to school at 7 am the sun was just rising and I noticed there were wildflowers everywhere. The colors brushed the green grass and immediately this verse popped into my head.
“See how the lilies of the field grow? They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these” Matthew 6:28
The flowers are beautiful and taken care of by him. No one waters or plants them. No one makes sure they get to see enough daylight. God provides that for them and they are everywhere. Why should I worry about tomorrow or the next day or next year. I need to cling to Christ and I will be okay no matter what decisions I make. He will be guiding me to make the right ones.
I’ll be like the flowers of the field.
Please pray for my sweet best friend Jessica who is in Uganda. She only has 6 weeks left there and there are a few girls she really would love to see brought to Christ. Aisha, Kristen, Hope and Patricia are the four to pray for as well as their last few weeks in the schools there. Also pray for her friend Jeremiah. He was a student missionary in Mozambique that was taken home a few days ago in a motor bike accident. Pray for his family and all the people in IMB that were close to him.
Also please please please check out Anne Jackson’s blog and tell everyone you know to as well. She has been to Russia in the past week and learned a lot about sex trafficking there. It is heartbreaking. Tweet it, Facebook it, blog it, tell people at lunch about it. This darkness needs as much light as possible.
What was said to the rose to make it unfold was said to me here in my chest. So be quiet now and rest
